Warm Weather Advisory

Will Body Stones melt in warm weather?

Body Stones are designed to melt on contact with dry skin and have a melting point that’s similar to your body temperature (~ 98°F / 37°C). During the summer months or in hot climates, it is possible that our Body Stone will melt or soften while in transit. Kate McLeod is proudly plastic-free and works hard to maintain a low carbon footprint, so we do not ship with insulation or freezer pack materials. If you are ordering during the summer or live in a hot location, please order at your own risk! To avoid disappointment, we recommend reaching out to us with any concerns you have about melting before you place your order.

Here are our tips for making sure your Body Stones survives in warmer weather:

Ship your package to an address where somebody will be available to accept the delivery (e.g., office address)

Bring your package inside as soon as you receive your delivery confirmation e-mail

Don’t let your package sit in direct sunlight on a porch or in a mailbox (both can turn into an oven in the summer sun!)

If melting does occur, we recommend popping the product into the fridge to solidify - in most cases, it’ll still be usable and provide highly concentrated nourishment (even without its beautiful Stone shape!)

Shipping

General Shipping Information

Orders typically ship within 2-3 business days, unless otherwise noted in the description of the product (i.e., backordered items). If your order includes both in stock and backordered items, we will automatically split your shipment so that you get your in stock items sooner. We will absorb any additional shipping costs from split shipments, with no extra cost to you.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us that contains tracking information. After leaving our facility, time to delivery depends on the shipment method selected at checkout:

USPS First Class Package: ~3-5 business days

USPS Priority Mail: ~2-3 business days

USPS Priority Mail Express: ~1 business day

Once the package is in the hands of the shipping carrier, we are not responsible for delivery delays or if a package is not able to be delivered due to address errors. However, we’re happy to work with you if any issues arise. Simply e-mail us at support@katemcleod.com.

International Shipping Information

We currently ship to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK via our international shipping provider Passport. At check out, you will get an estimate of associated fees, customs, duties, and taxes - and have the option to pre-pay these ahead of time. All prices are listed in USD. We recommend international customers check the current exchange rate to get the best idea of what they will be charged.

Order Cancellations

How do I make changes to or cancel my order?

We work hard to get orders shipped as quickly as possible, so as soon as the payment is accepted and the order is confirmed, it is immediately processed for shipping. This means there is only a very small window of time where we can catch your order before it is shipped out.

Unfortunately, this means that we cannot guarantee that we can make changes to orders once they have been placed. However, e-mail us at support@katemcleod.com as soon as possible with the subject line “Urgent Order Edit” - we’ll do our best to help!

Returns & Exchanges

Does Kate McLeod accept returns / exchanges?

Due to the nature of our products, Kate McLeod does not accept returns or exchanges.

However, your satisfaction is our top priority, and we will do everything we can to ensure your happiness with every purchase. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at support@katemcleod.com at any time if you are unhappy with your order.

We will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis (i.e., if a product arrives damaged or is defective). In order to apply for a refund, please reach out to us at support@katemcleod.com within 14 days of purchase. If your refund request is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
