General Shipping Information

We ship all US orders via the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Orders typically ship from Kate McLeod 2-3 business days after you place your order, unless otherwise noted in the description of the product (i.e., backordered items).

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us that contains tracking information. After leaving our facility, time to delivery depends on the shipment method selected at checkout (and may be subject to COVID-related shipping delays):

USPS First Class / Priority: ~3-5 business days

USPS Priority Mail Express: ~1-2 business days

Once the package is in the hands of USPS, we are not responsible for delivery delays or if a package is not able to be delivered due to address errors. However, we’re happy to work with you if any issues arise. Simply e-mail us at support@katemcleod.com.

International Shipping Information

We currently ship to Canada, Australia, and Europe via UPS, FedEx, and DHL.

All prices are listed in USD and subject to duties / tariffs upon arrival in your country. Before ordering, we recommend international customers check the current exchange rate and duties on imported US personal care products to get the best idea of what they will be charged.

Holiday Shipping

When is the last day to order in time for arrival by Dec 24?

The 2020 holiday season will be more hectic than usual, with potential for extreme shipping delays. We recommend placing orders as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

We cannot guarantee that orders will reach you by Dec 24. However, we recommend ordering by the following dates to give you the best chances of on-time arrival:

Order by Wed, Dec 16 for all orders shipping via USPS First Class and Priority Mail.

Order by Mon, Dec 21 for all orders shipping via USPS Priority Mail Express.

If you are concerned about a gift reaching your recipient in time for holiday, we recommend sending a Kate McLeod Gift Card, which will safely arrive to their inboxes on time.

Order Cancellations

How do I make changes to or cancel my order?

We work hard to get orders shipped as quickly as possible. As soon as the payment is accepted and the order is confirmed, it is immediately processed for shipping. This means there is only a very small window of time where we can catch your order before it is packed up and shipped out.

Unfortunately, this means that we cannot guarantee that we can cancel or make changes to orders once they have been placed. However, e-mail us at support@katemcleod.com as soon as possible with the subject line “Urgent Order Edit” - we’ll do our best to help!

Returns & Exchanges

Does Kate McLeod accept returns / exchanges?

Due to the nature of our products, Kate McLeod does not accept returns or exchanges.

However, your satisfaction is our top priority, and we will do everything we can to ensure your happiness with every purchase. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at support@katemcleod.com at any time if you are unhappy with your order.

We will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis (i.e., if a product arrives damaged or is defective). In order to apply for a refund, please reach out to us at support@katemcleod.com within 14 days of purchase. If your refund request is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Backordered Items

When will I receive my backordered item?

Your backordered item will ship within the timeframe noted in the description of the product. Once your backordered item has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us that contains tracking information.

If your order includes a backordered item, we will wait to send your shipment until the backordered item is in stock. If you would like to get your in stock items sooner, please e-mail us at support@katemcleod.com.

Warm Weather Advisory

Will Body Stones melt in warm weather?

Body Stones are designed to melt on contact with dry skin and have a melting point that’s similar to your body temperature (~ 98°F / 37°C). During the summer months or in hot climates, it is possible that our Body Stone will melt or soften while in transit. Kate McLeod is proudly plastic-free and works hard to maintain a low carbon footprint, so we do not ship with insulation or freezer pack materials. If you are ordering during the summer or live in a hot location, please order at your own risk! To avoid disappointment, we recommend reaching out to us with any concerns you have about melting before you place your order.

Here are our tips for making sure your Body Stones survives in warmer weather:

Ship your package to an address where somebody will be available to accept the delivery (e.g., office address)

Bring your package inside as soon as you receive your delivery confirmation e-mail

Don’t let your package sit in direct sunlight on a porch or in a mailbox (both can turn into an oven in the summer sun!)

If melting does occur, we recommend popping the product into the fridge to solidify - in most cases, it’ll still be usable and provide highly concentrated nourishment (even without its beautiful Stone shape!)
