I just finished the “old “ face stone in muslin (?) wrapping stored in a glass jar and just began using the “new” face stone in a paper container. I really like my glass container because it’s prettiness on the counter and because it provides protection from attracting sugar ants. I also noticed that the paper lid was hard to return to its paper packaging after its first use. At present, I use the face stone during upper body and facial gua sha massage. The older face stone seemed to leave an oiler residue on my skin than the current; making the glide of my gua sha stone easy but not a great thing as morning moisturizer before applying makeup for work. I use a different product for morning moisturizer. That ‘ease of glide/ oiliness could change as I use the new face stone. I have found a packaging solution that works for me. I discarded the new packaging lid, wrapped the body in a thin strip of muslin (?) and slipped the face stone in the new packaging body wrapped in muslin (?) in my glass container. I am quite pleased with the solution.

I am pretty disappointed after using the new face moisturizer for a month. As a loyal customer who initially adored the original face stones, I was excited about the Glow and Soothe line's introduction. Unfortunately, this new product hasn’t met my expectations, particularly given my eczema and sensitive skin.

While I loved the soothing qualities and the enjoyable sensation of massaging the face stones, the tube for the new moisturizer feels cumbersome, reminiscent of a giant Chapstick. The application process is tricky; I must be gentle to avoid the cardboard tube sliding uncomfortably on my skin.

Despite claims that the new formula includes all three ingredients from the beloved face stones, it feels like a downgrade. I sincerely hope that the original face stones are considered for a comeback!

I have always used the original face stone which is absolutely wonderful .. when I went to re order I found it was no longer being made .. disappointed! Seems like that is always the case .. when you find something that works and the company grows the best gets removed. The face balm does not come close to the face stone. Pulls hard on your skin, unpleasant fragrance, not calming to the skin and does not leave the softness , the ease of application, glow or calmness to the skin as the face stone did. Sorry for a negative review, having mature skin and the use of different products through the years you know what works and what doesn’t. Possibly best for younger skin!

I’ve been using the new face balm for a couple of weeks now, after having used the face stone for months and loved it. I think the balm itself is still great—I’m unsure if the formula has changed, but it seems very similar to that of the original face stone. The new paper applicator is…ok. It will definitely travel easier, but it seems like less product overall, and it’s not as easy or as satisfying to apply. While the old face stone felt like giving yourself a mini facial every day, this is kind of like applying a giant tube of chapstick to your face. You have to hold a finger on the bottom to keep the balm out, lest you press the balm back into the paper and scrape your face. It’s just not as luxurious as the face stone. I still like it though, and would probably purchase again because the formula is that good.
