I suffer from very dry skin and after using this lotion bar, my skin is softer, supple, and not dry! The best part is that it is non-greasy which is super important to me. I can get dressed after applying the lotion with no concerns about ruining my clothes. I really like the subtle scent too.
I bought this scent for my significant other, as he prefers a more earthy scent than the Naked stone which is my preference. He loves the subtlety of the scent and has comments multiple times on how nice his skin looks since using this. He has been able to use it daily without becoming too oily.
I’ve lived in SoCal my entire life. We now live in Oregon (as of 2021). When we moved, we lived up in the hills, in the middle of the forest, in a two-story cabin-style house with our friends. We spent 10 months there before we moved out and into our own apartment. We were so grateful our friends opened up their home to us. Even more so because I got to connect to nature in a way I never have. Now when I use the forest stone, I am reminded of the mossy woodland that surrounded the cabin and the smell of fresh green living things everywhere. We’re not far from the forest, but it’s nice to have this reminder of the fond memories I made there. It’s also hydrating, beautiful and oh so silky and lovely to use. I love how earth~conscious this brand is. It’s a win all around.
I have tried other lotion bars, but they all pale in comparison to Kate McCleod. They were either too hard, too soft, melted too much, or didn't melt enough. This one is perfect. It melts beautifully but isn't messy. My skin has never been so soft, and the softness lasts! I use it every night after my bath or shower, and it feels like such a lovely ritual. Regular lotion in a bottle just can't compete with this experience. I opted for the Forest scent, as I love woodsy scents. It doesn't disappoint. It's present, but subtle. I really couldn't be happier with my purchase... And I will be back for more. I want to try the Breathe bar next.
I adore my sleep body stone (5 out of 5 stars) and was so excited to see the forest stone. Hinoki and yuzu are two of my favorite scents so I was really disappointed by the lack of smell on this stone. I struggle to smell the scents in the stone and nothing lingers on my skin at all. It was really surprising as I didn't experience that with the sleep stone. But it has the same lovely penetrating moisturizing properties as my other stone, non greasy and fast absorbing.
This was an amazing splurge purchase!

The Lotion Bar melts in seconds to a perfectly smooth surface that nourishes your skin. I like the simplicity, and perfect blend of the ingredients. The scent is subtle, and doesn't intrude.
I did not buy the container, as I have a wooden box that fits the large size of this bar, and the cloth it comes wrapped in keeps it clean. See photo.
Love the smell of this stone (like kalamansi!) and the eco friendly packaging, as well as how it makes my skin feel. Be prepared to let it sink in for a little bit as it's a tiny bit greasy upon application, but my skin loves that as it is very dry!

The Body Stone lasts 4-6 weeks with daily usage, while the Body Stone Mini lasts 2-3 weeks with daily usage.
We recommend re-wrapping your Body Stone in its 100% linen wrap and storing it back in it's reusable bamboo canister after each use. Bamboo provides insulation from both heat and humidity, making it an ideal storage environment for our product. Body Stones are designed to melt upon contact with skin, and thus should not be placed in direct sunlight or exposed to extreme heat. For on-the-go storage, the Travel Case is the perfect way to go. Made with a bamboo-based biocomposite, it is TSA-friendly, carry-on approved and provides the same protection as our signature bamboo canister.
Body Stones are made with cocoa butter, which is an incredible natural preservative, making the shelf life two years. However, for optimal usage, we recommend using it within a year after opening.
