I’m on my last bit of my last glow stone and savoring.

I had the new one so I took it on a trip with me and it was way more of a pain than my little glass jar and glow stone, honestly. For all the reasons already pointed out.

Also, the formulation just isn’t as great.

Please please please bring it back.

As I devoted fan of Kate McLeod products and her mission for sustainability, I regret writing a negative review.

The new blend of the original Face Stones is not an improvement.

The new blend does not glide smoothly on my face and the cylindrical shape has hard edges.

The new packaging’s appearance does not reflect the wonderful spa-like experience of Kate’s products.

Frankly, the new packaging has many design flaws that cause the application to be difficult and not at all soothing.

My Face Balm is about to run out and I hope that the original Face Stones will be available before I reorder.

Please put me on the waitlist for the Glow Stone in the elegant packaging!

Truly didn’t want to write a bad review but if it means more

support for bringing back the original face stones, I’m all for it. The new one is difficult to maneuver and manage with the new shape and the paper carton. It’s difficult to put the top back on and creates wasted product shavings all over the place. The formula seems ok but my skin really loved the original “glow stone”. I’m sure there was an economic or resource reason for the change, but this product does not uphold the wonderful standards of Kate McLeod.

Count me among those wishing fervently for the return of the old face stones. I hate to make a negative review as I'm a big fan of these products but, seeing I'm not alone, I'd like to get my opinion counted. The Glow face stone was my #1 favorite kate mcleod product! 5 stars for the original, 2 for the stick version.

The packaging does not work - my lid would not go back on after the first time I removed it. But more importantly, it was already portable. Even if you keep it in the heavy glass jar on your vanity you can easily pull the cloth-wrapped stone out and it put it into just about anything for travel: a tsa-approved baggie, a makeup bag, a tin, a travel soapdish... I save the small ends of stones for travel and have several of different types saved up in their wraps just in one of the small cardboard boxes they came in. (another tip, I've melted small pieces of body stones in a silicone egg bite mold to make a new "stone" successfully too). Also, I really don't want a "face chapstick" !? Because it's something you wouldn't like to get on your hands? You don't in any case want to rub it in? That said, I just popped mine out of the tube and used a bit of the cloth from another stone for a wrap. It came out easily and cleanly and pretty quickly went from a cylinder to a more rounded "stone". Still fit into the jar too, just a little awkwardly until used a bit.

I was a glow face stone devotee, I was really sad when I got the email saying that the face stones were being discontinued and the face balm was taking their place but I thought, ok it seems similar to my favorite face stone, I'll give it a shot. This is a serious downgrade from the face stone, I'm sorry...from the packaging to the texture it's just a miss. I don't understand the need to fix what wasn't broken. The face stone was luxurious and did wonders for my skin. It really did give me glowing skin! This balm is smaller, not as silky or effective, and I really dislike the cardboard packaging. Trying to get the lid back on without destroying the rim of the part that holds the balm is impossible. I wound up just taking it out of the cardboard altogether and put it in my pretty glass jar that held my face stone. I did use the whole thing to give it a fair shot, but it's just not as good. Thankfully I still have one new glow face stone left from my last subscription delivery so I have a few months to decide what to do when that's gone. Please please please bring back the face stones!
